  • Menstrual issues

Acupuncture encourages the blood to flow more freely, helping to regulate cycles and alleviate the cramps, headaches, and discomfort associated with menstruation.

  • Menopause and perimenopause

Acupuncture does not stop the natural process of aging and hormones reduction, but slows it down, and lessens the hormonal fluctuations. Acupuncture also helps to relieve the accompanying symptoms, e.g. hot flashes, night sweats, heart palpitations, anxiety, and insomnia.

  • Endometriosis

Pharmaceutical treatments for endometriosis are not impressively effective, but cause many side effects. Surgery can be effective, but it is invasive, takes a long time to recover, and endometriosis can reoccur within five years.

Acupuncture can be considered adjunctive treatment for pelvic pain associated with endometriosis. In two recent trials, acupuncture gave significant pain relief.
